A special dual process of air- and kiln- drying the wood is complemented by lamination of parts subject to bending, to create looms of heirloom quality.
A custom-blended, environmentally-friendly varnish applied in the finishing process of each loom affords protection as well as preserves the distinct light color of the birch wood.
All Toika USA large looms are equipped with a stainless steel reed, 100 Texsolv heddles per shaft, aprons, pre-cut tie-up kit, bench, cog wheel warp advance system, and a CD ROM detailing assembly and tie-up.
